§ Mr. CarlisleThe constitution, objects and working of the Press Council were among the matters considered by the Younger Committee on Privacy as part of its review of the need for legislative safeguards to protect individual privacy. The Government are preparing a White Paper setting out their conclusions on the report of this committee (Cmnd. 5012) and I must ask the hon. Member to await its publication.
