§ Mr. ChannonIn the earlier period, 507,000 dwellings were completed by local authorities and Government contributions were approved for the improvement of 124,000 older council dwellings, a total of 631,000. In the later period the corresponding figures were 363,000 and 341,000, a total of 704,000.
