§ Lieutenant-Colonel Colin Mitchellasked the Secretary of State for Scotland, in view of the fact that it is not a violation of the law to use a drift or hang net which is attached to the shore provided that the person using the net has the right to fish for salmon from the shore, if he will take action to introduce a system of control of netting as recommended by the Salmon Net Fishing Association of Scotland.
§ Mr. Gordon CampbellI have received the recommendation of the Salmon Net Fishing Association. I am considering it together with the association's other views on the control of materials and methods of fishing.
