§ Mr. ScottI welcome this opportunity to announce that a draft code of practice for the reduction of machinery noise has now been prepared. The code was drafted by a small expert working group set up by the Noise Sub-Committee of the Industrial Health Advisory Committee, and was issued at the end of last month to a large number of industrial organisations, including the representative bodies of the machine tool industry. All comments received by 31st March 1974 will be carefully considered in the preparation of the final version of the code.
