§ Mr. Thomas Coxasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will publish in the OFFICIAL REPORT the number of convictions in the Greater London Council area during each of the last three years for the parking of motor vehicles on public footways.
§ Mr. CarlisleConvictions of obstruction, dangerous parking or the contravention of waiting restrictions relate to roads and do not distinguish between offences committed on the carriageway and on the footway. In the area of the Greater London Council there were no convictions of the specific offence of parking on a footway which was created by the Heavy Commercial Vehicles (Controls and Regulations) Act 1973 during its first six months.
