§ Q19. Sir Robin Turtonasked the Prime Minister whether he will make a further statement on the conclusions reached by Mr. Speaker's Conference on Electoral Law and set out in letters to him dated 20th June and 25th October 1973.
§ The Prime MinisterI have no further statement to make at present with respect to these reports. I have, however, received a letter from Mr. Speaker containing the recommendation of his conference regarding candidates' election 397W expenses. This is being published today as a Command Paper, and a Bill to give effect to this recommendation is being introduced.
