§ The Prime MinisterI have met President Pompidou four times for official bilateral talks beginning with our meeting in May 1971. These meetings have provided ample opportunity for us to discuss the Channel Tunnel. The understandings between our two Governments are expressed in the Exchanges of Notes of September 1971 (Cmnd. 4805) and October 1972 (Cmnd. 5161), and in the Treaty and Exchanges of Notes and Letters of November 1973 (Cmnd. 5486).
