§ Mr. David Stoddartasked the Secretary of State for Employment if he will review the maximum figure of £40 fixed by the Redundancy Payments Act 1965 which can be taken into account when aiming at redundancy payment entitlement.
§ Mr. ScottMy Department is reviewing the operation of all aspects of the Redundancy Payments Act 1965. These will include the £40 limit on weekly earnings which can be taken into account in calculating the amount of the statutory redundancy payment.
