HC Deb 06 February 1974 vol 868 c339W
Mr. Laurance Reed

asked the Minister for Energy what was the outcome of his discussions with the oil companies about the possibility of speeding the arrival of North Sea oil through the use of mobile rigs and tankers in place of fixed platforms and pipelines.

Mr. David Howell

All possible methods for overcoming delays in the North Sea oil programme are under examination by my Department.

Mr. Millan

asked the Minister for Energy what steps he is taking designed to get British involvement in the supply and laying of the onshore pipeline to carry the gas from the Frigg field in the North Sea.

Mr. Patrick Jenkin

I am satisfied that the British Gas Corporation has fully recognised the desirability of giving British industry a full opportunity of participating in this project.
