§ Mr. EyreThe numbers of improvement grants approved in Great Britain for all owners in the period of three and a half years immediately before the end of June 1970 were 453,000 and in the period of three and a half years immediately after June 1970 were 1,154,000. In 1973 453,000 grants were approved in Great Britain. Figures for individual authority areas for the same period are not yet available, but the number approved in Stockport in the first nine months of 1973 was 712 compared with 285 grants approved in the first nine months of 1970.
