HC Deb 06 February 1974 vol 868 c318W
38. Mr. David James

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment whether he will expedite authorisation of the Blandford and district main drainage scheme.

Mr. Graham Page

I am appreciative of the possible arguments relating to public health risk and housing development advanced in favour of this scheme. But I must await the consideration of it with some fifty other schemes by the Wessex Water Authority during this month because new work approved would form part of the authority's expenditure programme for 1974–75, which is necessarily restricted in present circumstances.
