HC Deb 05 February 1974 vol 868 c275W
Mr. Benyon

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs whether the Ugandan Government has met any compensation claims for assets confiscated in 1972 from British citizens; and if he will make a statement.

Lord Balniel

No. But the Ugandan Government are well aware that we expect them to fulfil their obligations under international law. Our high commission in Kampala is in touch with them on this matter.
