§ The Prime MinisterIn my letter of 23rd January to Mr. Gormley I said that I would be ready to arrange a meeting either with the officers or the executive of the National Union of Mineworkers, and that offer still holds. Yesterday, at my request, the Secretary of State for Employment invited the officers of the NUM to meet him in advance of their executive meeting so that they might be fully aware of the nature and significance of the Government's proposals for dealing with major relativity problems on the lines envisaged in the Pay Board's Relativities Report. Neither invitation has been accepted.
