Mr. Elystan Morgan

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what is the amount per head of population of subsidy paid to support loss-making railways in Wales; and what is the corresponding figure for England.

pursuant to his reply [OFFICIAL REPORT, 29th January 1974; Vol. 868, c. 85], gave the following information:

The weekly expenditure on advertising from 16th November up to and including 28th January is set out below. This covers fuel economy advertising, the publication of information about new restrictions on the use of electricity and advertising related to the issue of petrol coupons.
