§ Mr. Frank Allaunasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will make representations to the Rhodesian authorities for the release of Mr. Musarurwa, former news editor of the Daily News, Salisbury, who has been in detention or continuous restriction for 10 months, or for bringing him speedily to trial in open court on specific published charges.
§ Lord BalnielWe have repeatedly urged the Rhodesian authorities to release detainees or bring them to trial, and I will bear Mr. Musarurwa's case particularly in mind when next there is an opportunity to raise this matter. I understand that a number of detainees have recently been released, but I have no details.
