§ Mr. Roderickasked the Secretary of State for Social Services (1) if he will list the reasons why he refuses to replace invalid tricycles with passenger-carrying vehicles;
(2) if he will amend the regulations so as to provide disabled passengers with allowances and facilities no less than those received by disabled drivers;
(3) if, in view of the increased cost of fuel, he will urgently examine ways of helping disabled drivers with this cost, particularly those people with two-stroke tricycles, by vouchers or other means.
§ Mr. Jeffrey Archerasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will take action to permit a spouse or friend of a permanently disabled person to draw private car allowance benefits in the event of the disabled person being unfit to drive himself or herself.
