HC Deb 01 February 1974 vol 868 c172W
Mr. Concannon

asked the Secretary of State for Employment what investigation has been carried out into the incidence of acro-osteolysis among workers in the production of polymerisation of vinyl chloride.

Mr. Scott

No investigations have been undertaken directly by my Department but the condition has been very fully investigated in Britain, America and Europe by firms engaged in this process. The overall incidence as reported has been low and restricted almost entirely to workers on the polymerisation autoclaves.
