§ Mr. John SilkinUnder the Operation Eyesore scheme, projects to a total value of just under £37 million were approved in England. It was a condition of the scheme that work had to be completed by 30th September 1973. New approvals were discontinued in May 1973. The programme was therefore over some months before February 1974.
