Cunninghamasked the Secretary of State for Social Services whether the Government have responded to the recent appeal by the Director-General of the World Health Organisation for additional contributions by member States towards the final phase of the WHO's smallpox eradication campaign.
§ Dr. OwenYes. It is hoped to rid the world of smallpox in 1975 and to this end the Government propose to contribute £75,000. The necessary Supplementary Estimates will be put forward in due course.
