asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what effect the six weeks' strike of National Health Service auxiliary workers had on waiting lists for admissions to hospital in the area of the Trent Regional Hospital Authority.

In 1973 waiting lists in the former Sheffield Regional Hospital Board area increased by 529— 1.1 per cent. It is impossible to attribute the increase to any specific factor.
