asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what further outcome there has been from meetings at official level between his Department and London Transport about assaults by hooligans on London bus and Underground staff.

My right hon. Friend met the Chairman and senior officers of London Transport on 19th November. We are now considering the proposals made at this meeting, in consultation with my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for the Environment and the police.

Mr. Anthony Grant

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many cases of vandalism on London Transport property were known to the Metropolitan Police in each year from 1970 to 1974, inclusive; and how many of such cases resulted in prosecution.
