§ 43. Mr. Wardasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what arrangements are made by his Department to test soil and vegetation for contamination by fluorides emanating from the chimneys of industrial premises and brickworks; and how many positive tests in the past five years have resulted in advice being given to farmers about fluorosis in livestock or contamination of crops.
§ Mr. StrangTests carried out by my Department are concerned with suspected cases of fluorosis in livestock that are reported to it. Appropriate advice has been given in 12 cases during the last five years.
