§ Mr. Rostasked the Secretary of State for Energy what annual saving in energy consumption he estimates will be achieved from the £3 million he is making available in loans for energy-saving investment in industry.
§ Mr. VarleyThe savings will depend on the number and nature of projects qualifying for loan. The conditions of the scheme will be designed to ensure that the value of annual fuel savings is not less than one-third of the amount of each loan. Savings are, of course, cumulative.
