§ Mr. HattersleyA general balance is maintained between nationalities but there are no formal rules. The staff regulations do not permit posts to be reserved for a particular member State. At the time of the enlargement of the Communities574W the regulations were modified for one year so that posts could be filled by nationals of the three new Member States.
