Friend the then Parliamentary Secretary told the House on 9th April—[Vol. 872, c.109.] —the figure is due to be recalculated with effect from 1st January by reference to average earnings during the 12-monthly period ended 30th September 1974. The 509W new figure for Great Britain will be £1,870 and for Northern Ireland £1,310.
