§ Mr. MulleyExpenditure in England on construction of motorway, trunk and principal roads at 1971 prices rose from £290 million in 1967–68 to £420 million in 1970–71 and to £430 million in 1973–74. Figures are not available on an identical basis for earlier years because of changes in road classification.
