HL Deb 18 December 1974 vol 355 cc1263-4WA
Lord DENHAM

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they will instruct the Post Office to leave enough time between sending out final telephone demands and cutting off, or threatening to cut off, the service, to enable the subscriber's cheque to reach them, taking into account the current delays in their own postal service.

Lord BESWICK

My Lords, the Government are satisfied that the Post Office's standard billing procedures are reasonable.

House adjourned at twenty-two minutes before eight o'clock.
