§ Mr. Hooleyasked the Attorney-General what action has been taken on recommendations 134–141 of the Finer Committee (pp. 509–510).
The Attorney-GeneralNone. It would be premature to reach conclusions on recommendations 134–139 in advance of the Law Commission's report on ownership of, and rights of occupation in, the matrimonial home. Recommendation 137, however, may now have been overtaken by the decision of the Court of Appeal in Allenv. Allen [1974] 1 W.L.R. 1171. Recommendations 140 and 141 do not require action by the Government, but they will be brought to the notice of those concerned.
