§ Mr. Robert SheldonOn recommendation 128, the amount of the additional personal allowance was increased by £50 in the Finance Act 1974, but I am not persuaded that it would be justifiable to increase this allowance so as to make up the full difference between the single and married allowances. On recommendation 129, tax offices are under standing instructions to give priority to claims for repayment of tax. On recommendation 130, the possibility of issuing a special tax leaflet for one-parent families is under consideration.
