asked the Secretary of State for Wales how many places there are at day centres for the physically handicapped in Wales and in each local authority; and if he will express these totals per 1,000 population.

There were at 31st March 1974 730 places available at day centres for the physically handicapped in Wales, corresponding to a rate of 0.43 per 1,000 population aged 16.64. The geographical distribution of these places is given in the following table:
