Mr. Edelmanasked the Secretary of State for Industry whether he will convene and address a national conference, representative of Government Departments, employers and workers in the motor industry, to discuss problems of the reorganisation and re-equipment of the industry with special reference to the problems now facing the British Leyland Motor Company.
§ Mr. BennI am already in close contact with the unions and with firms in the industry, but will certainly bear this proposal in mind for the future.
