HC Deb 16 December 1974 vol 883 cc325-6W
Mr. Hayhoe

asked the Secretary of State for Employment what instructions he has given to his Press office regarding changes in the distribution of Press releases to outside organisations other than the Press.

Mr. Foot

In the interests of economy, my Press Office is currently undertaking a review of all its Press notice distribution lists. This is a lengthy process as these lists run into many thousands. The review seeks to identify which recipients of Departments of Employment Press releases belong to the Press and which, apparently, do not, and should be obtaining the information from an alternative source.
