HC Deb 16 December 1974 vol 883 cc339-40W
Mr. Winterton

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what representations have been received by his Department about the proposal to erect pylons through the Rough Bounds of Knoydart via Kinloch Hourn; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. William Ross

The North of Scotland Hydro-Electric Board's proposal to route an overhead transmission line from Quoich Power Station to Skye via Loch Hourn and Glenelg was first advertised on 7th November. I received 116 representations before the closing date, and have these under consideration with a view to determining whether a public in- quiry should be held. It would not, therefore, be appropriate for me to offer further comment at this stage.
