HC Deb 13 December 1974 vol 883 cc285-6W
Mr. Winterton

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what representations have been made to his Department about the proposals to construct an oil platform at Kishorn; and if he will make a statement on his policy on these proposals.

Mr. William Ross

Following advertisement of the proposal in March 1974 I received 99 representations. I also had before me 41 representations, including three petitions, received by the county council. After considering all the representations—some of which supported the proposals—and the other relevant factors I issued in September a direction enabling Ross and Cromarty County Council to grant planning permission.
