HC Deb 13 December 1974 vol 883 cc297-8W
Mr. Geraint Howells

asked the Secretary of State for Wales how much butter is produced in Wales at the present time; and if he is satisfied that there will be adequate supplies of butter in the shops in Wales over Christmas.

Mr. John Morris

I understand that there is little production of butter in Wales at the present time. However, Wales, and Great Britain as a whole, is largely dependent on imported supplies, and stocks of butter in the United Kingdom are sufficient to meet normal seasonal demand.
