§ Mr. Robert SheldonWe have already announced a further increase in the standard rate of widows' pension from £10 to £11.60, to take effect from next April. This will be on top of the record increase of £2.25 we made in July. There will be corresponding improvements in the widows' allowance and in the increases for widows who have children.
