§ Mr. Kinnockasked the Secretary of State for Wales if he is satisfied with progress being made towards equalisation of the water rate throughout Wales; and what are his proposals for equalising the Welsh rate with that levied in England.
§ Mr. John MorrisThe Welsh National Water Development Authority has adopted a resolution to equalise water rates throughout its area in 1975–76. My hon. Friend will know that I have set up a committee of inquiry under the chairmanship of Sir Goronwy Daniel to look into all matters relevant to the level of water charges. I hope to receive the committee's report early in the new year, when I shall consider it.
