§ Mr. Warrenasked the Secretary of State for the Environment what action he proposes to take following the report of an inspector of his Department concerning repairs required to the harbour arm as Hastings, the partial collapse of which endangered the lives of the Hastings lifeboat crew in a recent storm.
§ Mr. Denis HowellThe Hastings Borough Council is being asked to submit to my right hon. Friend the Sec-250W retary of State for the Environment a scheme to carry out works on the inner section of the harbour arm at Hastings under the Coast Protection Act 1949. The question of grant in respect of repairs to the outer section of the harbour arms is a matter for my right hon. Friend the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food under the Fisheries Act 1955.
