§ Mr. John Evansasked the Secretary of State for the Environment (1) if he will list in the OFFICIAL REPORT the names, qualifications, previous employment, office address, salaries and terms of reference of (a) the full-time and (b) the part-time investigators appointed to the staff of the Commissioner for Local 249W Government for the North-West Region of England;
(2) who appoints the full- and part-time investigators to the staff of the Commissioner for Local Government; and what qualifications, if any, are required.
§ Mr. OakesThe Commission for Local Administration in England may pay its officers such salaries, allowances, etc., as my right hon. Friend may determine. But all other matters connected with the appointment and deployment of its staff are wholly within the responsibility of the commission.
