§ Mr. OakesThe Government are establishing a Waste Management Advisory Council which will examine in depth the prospects for greater recovery of materials from waste. All local authorities will wish to review their activities in this field to see what more can be achieved both now and in the future as realistic policies are developed in the light of the Green Paper "War on Waste" (Cmnd. 5727).
