HC Deb 11 December 1974 vol 883 c165W
Mr. Alison

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what attention is at present given by Her Majesty's inspectors to the matter of sex education in schools; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Armstrong

Her Majesty's inspectors give considerable attention to this matter, in conjunction with other aspects of health education, in the normal course of their work. They also arrange courses and conferences and are in close touch with the Schools Council, Health Education Council and other national bodies concerned in this work.
