Mrs. Bain

asked the Secretary of state for Education and Science how many places are provided by halls of residence at each of the Scottish universities; and how this compares with 10 years ago.

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if he has any plans to increase financial support to universities in Scotland.

I am considering what further help can be given to universities, including those in Scotland, during the current academic year.
