HC Deb 10 December 1974 vol 883 c123W
Mr. Jessel

asked the Lord President of the Council what action is taken to monitor temperature in the Palace of Westminster; and what is being done to economise on fuel.

Mr. Edward Short

The temperature of the principal rooms in the Palace of Westminster is measured and recorded four times daily. Thermostat control can be applied only in certain limited areas.

Economies are under investigation, and I would refer the hon. Member to my reply of 26th November 1974 to the hon. Member for Bedford (Mr. Skeet).— [Vol 882, c. 126.]
