§ Mr. William RodgersIt is not possible to give a breakdown of this kind at this stage. The figures in the statement of 3rd December indicated only a broad order of magnitude for the total reductions expected over a period of years and were on the basis of assumptions concerning the general level of productivity in the defence industries. Detailed figures will not be available until we have concluded our consultations with both sides of industry and taken final decisions on the forward defence equipment programme.
