HC Deb 09 December 1974 vol 883 c9W
Mr. Ovenden

asked the Secretary of State for Industry if he will publish the names of the directors appointed to the board of British Petroleum by his Department, the dates on which they were appointed, and the periods for which their immediate predecessors held office.

Mr. Dell

I have been asked to reply.

Lord Greenhill of Harrow is a Government director of the British Petroleum Company Limited; he has been in post since November 1973. His predecessor was Mr. Robin Brook, who held office for three and a half years. Sir John Stevens, who was appointed in May 1969, died in office in October 1973 and a successor remains to be appointed.
