HC Deb 05 December 1974 vol 882 c599W
Mr. Snape

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will set up a rail advisory committee for London, to advise on major rail planning, as proposed by the "London Rail Study—Part One".

Mr. Mulley

The study's report recommended that the committee should be set up to advise both my right hon. Friend and the Greater London Council. Any decision to set up such a committee must, therefore, be a joint one and I shall need to discuss the recommendation with the council.

Mr. Snape

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will implement the proposals of the "London Rail Study —Part One"; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Mulley

At present I have nothing to add to the reply which I gave my hon. Friend the Member for Islington, South and Finsbury (Mr. Cunningham) on 28th November.—[Vol. 882, c.248.]
