Mr. Mike Thomas

asked the Secretary of State for Energy (1) how many domestic consumers of gas in the United Kingdom consume less than 100, 101–200, 201–500, 501–1,000 and over 1,000 therms of gas per annum, respectively;

(2) what proportion of the total amount of electricity consumed in the United Kingdom by domestic consumers is consumed by those consumers using less than 100, 101–200, 201–500, 501–1,000 and over 1,000 units of electricity per annum, respectively; and what is the total number of units consumed;

(3) how many domestic consumers of electricity in the United Kingdom consume less than 100, 101–200, 201–500, 501–1,000, and over 1,000 units of electricity per annum, respectively;

(4) what proportions of the total revenue including standing charges from the sale of electricity in the United Kingdom to domestic consumers comes from these consumers using less than 100, 101– 200, 201–500, 501–1,000 and over 1,000 units of electricity per annum, respectively; and what are the cash sums involved;

(5) what proportions of the total amount of gas consumed in the United Kingdom by domestic consumers is consumed by those consumers using less than 100, 101–200, 201–500, 501–1,000, and over 1,000 therms of gas per annum, respectively; and what is the total number of therms consumed;

(6) what proportion of the total revenue including standing charges from the sale of gas in the United Kingdom to domestic consumers comes from those consumers using less than 100, 101–200, 201–500, 501– 1,000 and over 1,000 therms of gas per annum, respectively; and what are the cash sums involved.
