§ Mr. Gwynfor Evansasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will establish an Estate Duty Office in Wales similar to those in Northern Ireland and Scotland.
§ Dr. GilbertThe replacement of estate duty by capital transfer tax and the introduction of wealth tax will call for substantial changes in the existing Estate Duty Office structure. The Inland Revenue is considering the form of regional organisation which will be best fitted for the administration of the new capital taxes.
