HC Deb 04 December 1974 vol 882 cc477-8W
Mr. Cartwright

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what are the estimated figures for 1974–75 in respect of the yield of local rates on household property, the cost of rate rebates, the yield of local rates on all non-domestic property and the total sums raised by water rates, respectively, in Scotland.

Mr. William Ross

The yield is estimated at £136 million from domestic and £167 million from non-domestic property, excluding domestic water rates which are estimated at £15 million. Rate rebates are likely to cost 8 million to 10 million.
