§ 74. Mr. Palmerasked the Secretary of State for the Environment why he refuses consent for the disposal of the land, embankments and bridges of the old London Midland branch railway line, passing through the St. Philips, Easton and Eastville districts of Bristol, since the rails and other equipment necessary for transport no longer exist, and the disused works constitute a nuisance to residents.
§ Mr. CarmichaelThe aim is to safeguard the option for a future transport corridor along this line, pending completion of the Bristol Area Land Use Transportation Study. The consultants' report is expected by mid-1975.
